ZONAL PROFILE
National Board for Technology Incubation established the North-Central Zonal Office in Minna, Niger State in the year 2015.
The mandate of the Zonal office is as follows:-
Co-ordinate and supervise the TICs and extension within the North Central Geo political Zone. These centres:- TIC Minna, TIC Jos, TIC Ilorin, TIC Makurdi, TIC Lokoja and TIC Lafia, and Extension at Offa , Bida & Mabudi, Niger State government provide the site and building for the take-off of the Zonal Office.
FUCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinating and Directing the Affairs of the Centres within the Zone.
- Closely working with the Centre Managers to coordinate Trade Fairs/Exhibitions in liaison with Commercial and Post Incubation and Extension Services Departments.
- Overseeing the execution of Projects to specification.
- Assisting in the General Administration of the Zone and Centres.
- Taking responsibility for Administrative Development Planning.
- Liaising with the Centre Managers to ensure that facilities in the Centres within the zone are put to optimal use to boost Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) for the Technology Incubation Programme (TIP).
- Holding quarterly meetings within the Zone and providing constructive feedback to the Headquarters on the outcome of the meetings.
- Evaluating regularly the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and benchmarking of Centres in the zone in line with the mandate of Technology Incubation Programme (TIP) and apply improvements through regular visits and M&E exercise in collaboration with Operations and Post Incubation and Extension Services Departments.
- Advising Management on issues related to postings, transfers, trainings and manpower planning for the staff of the Zone in liaison with the respective Centre Managers within the Zone.
- Any other schedule or assignment the Director General or the Board may assign.
- Reviewing the APER forms submitted from Centres for forwarding to the Board.
- Compilation and vetting of weekly, monthly and quarterly reports for transmission to the Headquarters.
- Management of innovations and intellectual property.
