Established in 2016, the North-West Zone B (NWZ B) is a zonal office of the National Board for Technology Incubation (NBTI), Abuja, responsible for coordinating and implementing policy guidelines across Technology Incubation Centres (TICs) in the North-West region of Nigeria. Our primary functions include:
- Providing technical support to Centres and stakeholders
- Facilitating training and capacity-building programs
- Promoting entrepreneurship and innovation
- Fostering partnerships and collaborations
- Organizing techno-expos and exhibitions
- Incubating start-ups and SMEs
- Conducting research and development
- Enhancing technology transfer and commercialization
- Building strategic alliances with industry partners
- Successfully coordinated training for over 5,000 entrepreneurs and SMEs in the region through TICs
Achievements:
- Collaborated with stakeholders to secure funding support for growing entrepreneurs and start-ups
- Improved regional economic growth through job creation and skills development using Technology Incubation
- Facilitated access to funding for 50 start-ups and SMEs
- Trained over 10,000 youth in digital skills and entrepreneurship
- Partnered with 10 industry leaders to promote technology adoption
- Developed and implemented more than 20 innovative technologies in key sectors
