Technology Incubation Centre (TIC) Lafia, Nasarawa State was commissioned on the 5th September, 2019 by His Excellency Dr Ogbonnaya Onu the Honorable Minister of Science and Technology (FMS&T).
Intervention Of The State Government
The establishment of technology incubation Centre (TIC) Lafia was initiated on the 25th February, 2013 with the signing of the Memorandum of understanding (M.o.U) between NBTI and Nasarawa State government. Nasarawa State government allocated a temporary office for the centre at the official premises of the ministry of special education, science and technology. The state government went further to allocate a parcel of land with right of occupancy (R of O) file number NSG000352 as the permanent site for the centre. Construction of a fence and security post, 10 incubation units and one (1) kilometer access road with drainage system to link the permanent site to Makurdi-Lafia Federal Highway was done by the government. The state government has provided a 100KVA dedicated transformer with a connection to the national grid for the Centre.
