Messrs Dandago Fabrications under the Chairmanship of Wada Shehu Dandago graduated from TIC Kano and was able to establish a large fabrication workshop, engaged in the fabrication of post-harvest and mineral processing equipment and machineries. He is located along Kano-Gwarzo Road and is up to date in taxes payment to the Government. The Company was also able to establish a training school for the less privileged in metal fabrication, foundry and ordinary/structural welding.
The Company was admitted in 2008 as a resident incubatee to carry out Agricultural Machineries fabrication such as multi crops threasher, rice processing plant, groundnut oil extractor, stalk crusher etc. He was admitted into the Centre as a result of his discovered activities by the Centre during entrepreneurs sourcing exercise where he is running his business locally at Dandago Quarters in the ancient city of Kano.
The company was guided appropriately by the Centre to achieve company registration with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) and other linkages to relevant organisation such as Kano Agricultural Development Authority (KNARDA) Department of Agricultural Engineering (BUK), Jigawa Agricultural Development Agency (JARDA) as well as NGOs such as SASAKAWA GLOBAL 2000, ProPCom (DFID) project etc.
The company attained greater achievements during its stay in the Centre where they received a lot of patronage from within and neighboring Countries such as Niger, Chad, Cameroun, Ghana etc.
At point of admission in 2008, the company has a capital of N600, 000 but before graduation they ware able to acquire a land of 300/300 feet size and built a factory fully equipped with advanced fabrication equipments such as lathe machine, industrial drilling, grinding and bending machines, etc that worth N60 Million Naira.
The company was selected to participate at the AU-CCA Committee for Development Information on Science and Technolosat (CODIST) Africa Science show, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia April, 2009.
Before graduation the annual turnover of the company was about N200,000,000 and as at now the turnover has grown to about 500,000, 000 million per annum.
The company has relocated to its permanent site at Janguza villege off Gwarzo Road, Tofa L.G Kano.
A patented software incubated at TIC Kano by Messrs Certis (Nig) Ltd. on “Simplified e-learning at all levels” was conceived and perfect by Engr. Dr. Anas B. Yazid and is now available in the market.
Technology People graduated from TIC Kano under the Chairmanship of Mr. Emmanuel Raymond. Major area of operation if fabrication of food processing and pharmaceutical equipment for the small scale industry. The factory is at present located at Airport Road, Noman’s land, Kano.
Similarly, Kano State Government has provided sixteen Incubation Units, a Laboratory and Block of Toilets to the TIC as an appreciation to the Centre’s effort in training of students on Industrial attachment as well as post graduate students to access the Laboratories and Workshops.
