The National Board for Technology Incubation (NBTI) is to sign a Memorandum of Understanding with the Skyline University Kano. The Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Sudhakar Kota stated this while on a visit to NBTI headqaurters. The Vice Chancellor said the aim of the collaboration was to deepen Students knowledge on innovation and entrepreneurship and to share valuable knowledge on Technology Incubation Programme to promote the innovative strategies for knowledge acquisition to be easier in Nigeria.
In his remark, The Director General/CEO of the National Board for Technology Incubation, Engr.Dr. Mohammed Jibrin said the collaboration would serve as a good platform for the cross fertilization of ideas. The Director General also stated that the collaboration will serve as a mechanism for peer review amongst the students after their Industrial Training in any of the Technology Incubation Centres Nationwide.
Dr. Jibrin further stated that while the skyline University Students will benefit from the collaboration, NBTI will equally benefit from the resource lecturers of skyline in the area of capacity building.
He also expressed the willingness of NBTI to collaborate with the university and said the Memorandun of Understanding should be speedily done so that both parties can start gaining from it. In his earlier address, Professor Kota said the university was established to impart knowledge, skills and competences, thus they want to create graduates who are not job seekers but Job providers.
