NBTI DG/ CEO ASSUMES DUTY TODAY AS SHE VISITS THE HEADQUARTERS PERMANENT SITE UNDER CONSTRUCTION

The Director General/CEO of NBTI Dr. Mrs Uchenna Chukwu today assumed duty. Dr. Chukwu who arrived the Board at exactly 10.02am was received by the Director Commercial Mr. Akinwumi Taiwo Somefun and other Directors. The staff of the Board who had gathered to receive the DG sang songs to show the love they have for the DG. In a brief welcome ceremony, Dr. Chukwu thanked the staff and urged them to remain committed and dedicated to their duties.

The new Director General started her first assignment in office by visiting the Headquarters Permanent Site under construction as she was bothered about the accommodation problem the office was going through. Dr Chukwu while making a brief remarks appreciated her predecessors for acquiring the land and developing it to such a structure. She also commended the contractor for doing his best by using quality materials. The DG further added that She “trust God that in a short while the project will be completed.

The vision of the program is to pursue the commercialization of technologies and technical innovations using technology incubation as a tool in order to enhance the attainment of technological,industrial,social and economic competitiveness of the country and improve the quality of life of its citizens.
Mission

To develop the necessary infrastructure for nurturing technology start-ups;to promote Nigeria’s indigenous potentials through value-added and technology-related activities;and to create enabling environment for effective linkage amongst technology providers,entreprenuers,capital and know how in order to accelerate the development of new enterprises.
