Mr. Gobir Abdulmumin Ahmed

Mr. Gobir Abdulmumin Ahmed (born in March 1977) is the Centre Manager TIC Makurdi, National Board for Technology Incubation under the Federal Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation. He is a strong advocate of due process and has a strong passion for efficiency and effectiveness in operations. 

He is a focused professional and experienced in public sector administration. He is an enthusiastic team player with high level of cooperation and collaboration, scrupulously vigilant about details and determined towards achieving set targets.

 

Early Life and Education

Mr. Gobir Abdulmumin Ahmed was born in Ilorin, Ilorin East Local Government of Kwara State. He attended Karumo Primary School Ilorin, from 1985 to 1990. He further went to Mount Carmel College Ilorin from 1990 to 1995, Agbeyangi Community Secondary School from 1995 to 1996. He then proceeds to Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto from 1998 to 2001 where he got his first degree (BSc Economics). He later got his Master’s Degree Certificate in Business Administration (MBA) from University of Ilorin in 2014. 

Professional Career

He was employed as Planning Officer II in May 2005 National Human Rights Commission. In 2007, he joined the services of National Board for Technology Incubation and posted to Technology Incubation Centre Minna as Admin Officer I, from 2007 to 2010 before he was posted to TIC Ilorin. 

 

As a pioneer staff of TIC Ilorin, he was responsible for assisting the liaison officer in setting up the Centre as well as a proactive operational system that allows for efficiency and effectiveness in the Centre’s Incubation activities. 

While at TIC Ilorin, he ensured that certain structures and policies which are in line with Technology Incubation Program were put in place and implemented. 

 

He rose through the ranks and was appointed the Centre Manager TIC Makurdi in June 2022, the position he still occupies till date. 

 

Workshops and Trainings Attended

He has attended several trainings and workshops which includes and not limited to:

  • Workshop on Public Service Rule – organized by ASCON Badagry

 

  • In-House training for Admin Officers – organized National Board for Technology Incubation
