Ado Kano Ahmed

Born on 2^nd June, 1965, Ado Kano Ahmed hails from Kano Municipal Local Government Area of Kano State, Nigeria.

He Holds an NCE (Technical) from Kaduna Polytechnic (1988), a B.Tech. in Metal Work Technology from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria (1993).

Ado Kano Ahmed joined the Federal Civil Service on 15 June, 1995 where he was deployed to Federal Ministry of Solid Minerals Development. He was later deployed to the Federal Ministry of Science and Technology in 2007 and posted to the Department of Technology Acquisition Assessment. In 2008 he moved to the National Board for Technology Incubation (NBTI) on secondment. He Held several positions and promotions until he rose to the level of a Director as at January 2017. In 2020 he attended the Senior Executive Course (SEC) 42, 2020 at the National Institute Kuru.

Ado Kano Ahmed is a recipient of a number of awards/recognitions which include the Sokoto State NYSC Committee (State’s Chairman’s Honours Awarded by the Head of State and Commander in Chief of the Nigerian Armed Forces; Award for Transparency and Accountability by the Legislative Writers Forum of the National Assembly of Nigeria 2019; Recognition and award of certificate of excellence by Kano Science Old Students Association class of 1980-1983 in 2019.

He is currently the Director of Procurement of the Agency, a position held from January 2017.

Vision

The vision of the program is to pursue the commercialization of technologies and technical innovations using technology incubation as a tool in order to enhance the attainment of technological,industrial,social and economic competitiveness of the country and improve the quality of life of its citizens.
Mission

To develop the necessary infrastructure for nurturing technology start-ups;to promote Nigeria’s indigenous potentials through value-added and technology-related activities;and to create enabling environment for effective linkage amongst technology providers,entreprenuers,capital and know how in order to accelerate the development of new enterprises.
